RE NXT Online Donation Form: Options for Types of Phone Numbers
On the backend it just says phone number. How do we tell if it is a donor's cell phone number, home phone number or work/business phone number? There should be a dropdown for donors to choose what type of phone number they are entering in the form.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add check boxes for donors to choose their phone type to the RENXT online donation forms. It is vital that we know whether the phone number is a cell, business or home, especially given that we have the ability to text donors, but we can't do so if we don't know whether or not the number is a cell phone number.
As a best practice, I would recommend creating a phone type just for incoming phone types that you don't know what phone type it actually is and having all online gifts default to that phone type.
I'm marking this as open to voting to gauge interest, but also just wanted to mention that adding an additional data point that makes donors have to "think" would likely adversely affect the conversion rate of the form. Asking for phone it itself is known to decrease conversion rates, asking for not only phone but phone type could cause even more donors to abandon the form.

I would also add email and mailing address to have options for the donor to select so we have to correct type that is entered automatically.

Default type of home phone creates numerous duplicate rows of same phone number.
