Other systems like mail chimp etc have a one to one relationship between emails and "first name".   On the same record we need to be able to tie specific salutations to specific emails.  In database view we have this noted in the comments.  

For example:  the email JohnandJane@gmail.com  we'd want to be able to specify the salutation is John and Jane but for John@SmithLLC.com we'd want to specify that the salutation should be John.

This is especially important because the ability to send to multiple emails on the same record is planned.  Since spouse emails are often stored in the same record, specifying the salutation from addressee/salutation won't work because John@gmail.com should receive a different email from jane@gmail.com even if they are on the same record.
