Add "Salutation" as a merge field option when sending emails

It would be nice to be able to select "Salutation" as a donor merge field when sending an email through RE NXT.

Why is this not yet an option? The salutation field should absolutely be an option in NXT email marketing.

Agreed! The option for a salutation field is absolutely necessary.

YES! The option for the salutation field is needed. I'm curious why it did not happen a long time ago. My organization has received complaints from donors who get emails and the salutation does not include their spouse name. This has caused some donors to opt out of getting emails.

It's been five years and this seems like a simple addition. Why has this not been added yet?

Please make all salutation options available to properly customize emails. First name does not cover some of the titles that are reverent and necessary. Very important!

It seems like a basic request to add a salutation as an option to mail merge emails. It actually seems like a necessary requirement for any communication mail merge. I hope it's considered soon.

I can't believe people have been asking for this for 5 years and it hasn't happened! This is making personalized emails from NXT an impossibility for us. We have these required fields for data entry so we should able to use them for merge codes.

Please add this - very important and useful for us!

I truly can't believe that this option isn't available in NXT as it is so basic. In additional to being able to use the salutation, we need to have a place to define what happens if there is no salutation, for example use "Friend"

Please please add this functionality--it's nearly Dark Ages not to have this already integrated/standard! Or at least 20th century. Thank you. Makes a huge difference, we can tell.

In RENXT give us the option to pull from the "other name formats". The "other name format" field in the classic view is the "Addressee/Salutation" tab. The addressee/salutation tab in classic view allows you to create numerous options. We currently have seven options (Name Tag, Individual Informal Salutation, Individual Formal Salutation, Individual Addressee, Joint Informal Salutation, Joint Formal Salutation, and Joint Addressee).

Yes we definitely need this 'salutation' option

Yes please, it would be wonderful for 'salutation' to be added as a merge field on NXT. As a major donor fundraiser, it's imperative that my emails are personalised.

We just migrated to NXT. Now to find out that we cannot even merge some of the basic fields like PriSal so that we can send emails addressed to husband and wife. If we send emails to Major Donors without the spouse first name included we may just lose those donors.

We can't personalize any emails because we use the "First Name Salutation" option in the back end. It makes NXT marketing null and void.

This is a major issue for personalizing emails. Is it close to reaching the tipping point?

How is this not already possible... Its a basic email comms function that should surely be in place.

Because we could not access our salutation field, which would have personalized an email in the way that we wanted, we were forced to use the Email Merge function in Word.
