If a user signs up for an event, they will receive a confirmation email. The confirmation email has the ability to customize some merge fields but does not include all merge fields. It would be great if more merge fields were available so the confirmation email could serve as a receipt so that an organization does not have to do duplicate work.
For example, currently an organization sends a confirmation email to the event participant and then has to go to Gift Receipting to create the receipt for the person participating in the event.
Creating the PDF in gift receipting is cumbersome, especially with over 100 participants. Receipting should be automated when the participant clicks on e-receipt, which has the necessary merge fields for an event gift receipt. A customized merged gift receipt is an ability in Online Express that was not transferred to the NXT version for events.
