Add marketing email data from NXT to constituent records

Why oh why is this not automatic like it is in Online Express?  There is no  point in sending an email if you can't track who you sent it to.  Please address this immediately!!

    I need to be able to query on Workflow Designer emails sent that appear in the Email history tile. We send out a series of emails to new donors which we Apply the workflow at the time of their first gift. I need to be able to double-check the "First Gift Date" and ensure the first email was indeed sent. Query is a MUST!

    I would like the echo the suggestion to show the NXT emails in the assigned appeals area so that they can be queried and reported on. And we need to see this in both views.

    These links do not work. I logged into the ideas area, and they still don���t work. Below is a screenshot of the message I am receiving. It doesn���t work when I try to log in with the email and password that I use for NXT ideas.

    These new Idea listings don't address the problem that I (and I think others) have mentioned several times. I need to see NXT email data in the Assigned Appeals area of Raisers Edge the same way that Online Express email sends are tracked in that area, including the Response data writing to the Response field. Is this possible?

    Hi All. I have decided to close this feature as Shipped. Per the requests for additional needs around this, here are the other Ideas that have already been created to address the other concerns:

    I know voting on these individual ideas may seem cumbersome, but it helps when we are delivering a feature because if one idea has multiple requests, its hard for us to close it out till everything is complete. But individual ideas/feature requests can be closed more easily. Thank you again for your patience as we work on getting the Ideas Portal more organized ans accurate for you all.

    In addition to what others have said, I'd like to ask if there's any way to have this sit in database view somewhere? I'm currently frustrated by the fact that I have to transpose information from webview to database view in order to do any querying, reporting or global changes.

    Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all of this info today. It is very much appreciated. Based on your responses compared to the original idea, I think it might be better if we close this idea as Shipped and open a few new ones for:

    1. Being able to create a list and/or report based on email data (opens, clicks, bounces, etc) that could be exported

    2. Being able to access a read only/thumbnail view of the email when viewing emails sent to the constituent either on the cons record or when creating reports/lists (or both)

    3. More reporting detail for email bounces

    I think having separate ideas for these needed features will help Product see each request individually and the votes for each one (some clients may want one feature more than others and that helps us prioritize).

    If those of you who commented today are okay with this, I will create these new ideas and link them here and you all can go vote! I agree these are all valuable features, so lets make sure they don't get lost in the weeds :).

    In Online Express, the email is recorded as a constituent appeal against the constituent, as is their response. We use this data to contribute to an Engagement Score. I would expect to see the NXT Marketing emails appear in the same place.

    For us it is important to find out why emails are bouncing but other than being able to create a list of emails that bounced, we have to open each record individually. Like the others have said, if we could have a filter for this or have it pulled through to database so we can create a query, a lot of the work could be done quickly

    @Kylee Long, others have commented, but to me, the email tile doesn't show anywhere in the DB view. We're wanting to see queriable access there and/or the ability to also record on a record as an action.

    When sending from OLX, you can query on Assigned Appeals in RE and see who received/opened/gave/bounced/unsubscribed from any email. I'd like to see the same data recorded for emails sent out of NXT. Dashboards and views when logged in are all well and good, but I need exportable data to do detailed analysis outside of RE/NXT. It seems arbitrary that this data was being recorded in this detailed of a way with OLX and then that was just dropped with NXT.

    Hi Kylee. For me, the objective is to have a field that I can use to filter on in lists. If I recall correctly OXL used to write back to a constituent attribute information about the email sent. With that info we could pull a list of anyone who opened or clicked. I'd value that ability in RENXT. As an example, we would like to include that as a communication metric in our Alumni Engagement score calculation. To do so, I will have to go into every email sent, create a list of opens from the history tile, merge all the lists together, and add a constituent attribute (aka custom filed) that indicates they have opened an email using that list. This is very cumbersome given the # of emails (and workflows) sent out.

    I know other users who do a similar process in order to get a list of "active" constituents. That organization boosts their email engagement metrics by sending email to the most engaged constituents. Less engaged constituents get fewer emails. I believe this is standard for other services like MailChimp and Constant Contact.

    The email history tile is nice, but that information can't be queried or reported on in any other way.

    I'd like to see a lot of the details NetCommunity would show. A click report ( not just a count but what links were clicked), in RE NetCommunity tab would show what email address the email was sent to, and if it bounced what the bounce message was. Something NetCommunity didn't do that would be nice is if the NXT tile on the constituent's record would show what links per email they clicked and the ability to click the name of the email and you can see the email they were sent.

    The "Email History" tile is fine, but I can't do anything with it, other than look at the fact that it was sent to them. You wrote that the tile displays the open and click rate, if a donation was made if they registered, etc, but that isn't on the tile at all - that is in the Marketing section from where the email was sent (which is a whole other can of worms). There needs to be more value to the Email History tile, for example use it as filters for Lists or Reports. Also, the ability to filter on the type of bounce is another thing that is missing, so any data clean up is virtually impossible to do after sending a marketing email. Those are the types of things that are missing from the Email History tile. Thanks for taking the time to understand the issues!

    Hi. I am wondering if I could get a bit more information about the initial idea request. Are you looking for information about emails that have sent to the constituent on their record? We shipped an "Email History" tile not too long ago that displays the emails that you have sent, with the open & click rate of each email. It also shows if a donation was made, if they registered through the email and if they chose to opt-out. Does this meet the initial needs of this request, or is there more you are needing? If there are additional needs that are not in the initial feature request, its best to open a separate Idea so that we can track each feature separately.

    Yes, 1000%!! Our reporting is completely based around this RE data, so moving to NXT has been a nightmare in reporting and comparing campaigns YOY!
