EAP - Marketing Email - Emails added as an Action

Hey team,

I'm on the EAP for the new NXT Marketing Email functionality.  So far the interface is great and the functionality all seems to be working fine.

One thing I have noticed is that sent emails aren't linked to the constituent records.  If sent emails could be added as an action to the constituents that they are sent to, it would reduce a whole lot of manual 'Global Adds' in the database view.  Or maybe there is a 'Marketing' section on a constituent record and a link through to the email that was sent?

Either way, there does need to be a way to link a constituent with the communications that are being sent to them.

Cheers,
Jay

It would also be useful to have NXT create a notation of emails originating from a Workflow as an action on the record in the database view. I would prefer one place in the DB view that could show a continuous timeline of all interaction with the client, but any record of it is better than none.

I'm shocked this isn't a function yet. The way my org uses NXT we would prefer that it goes on as an appeal (as with OLX).

In the meantime, it would be lovely to be able to export a list of constituents who were sent the email, the date that they were sent it, what email address and what the outcome was (bounced, opened, received, clicked) so that we could act on this manually with a bit less faff.

Additionally, if someone unsubscribes to an email blast from NXT it does change their email status, but with NO other detail as to why or when or what email they unsubscribed as a result of. This is so bad

    i would recommend the following:

    1) "marketing" section on a constituent record

    2) in timeline show the touchpoint - when the email was sent - just like appeals

it's so annoying when a constituent calls - and we dont have a full picture of all our communications with this person.

The whole point of marketing email is to automate as much as possible, so the generating the lists, the sending, the stats after sent are all great. its a shame this isnt viewable on a constituent record.

How has this not happened yet? This seems like a really easy, and important step to make NXT email more usable for fundraising!

1,000 times yes, please!! That way, we'd know who received, opened, clicked. Thanks!

I agree as well. We want to see a record of all marketing emails sent to these constituents so we know at a glance on their record how many touches they are receiving from us per year, both digital and print. If Online Express can do record marketing emails as appeals, and Blackbaud is moving more functionality to RE NXT, then the NXT "next generation" email tool should definitely have the same features and even more than our older Online Express does. Right now we do not have incentive or desire to use the NXT email tool because it's missing this feature.

Also - you can only see the click rate, you can't see the rate of clicks per link. It is essential when trying to create content that interests constituents.

Yes, yes, yes! Either attach the email as an Action or allow it to be added as an Appeal right in the set-up of the email itself.

This is a pretty critical feature for us as well - I agree. It's a bit ridiculous that you cant see what email marketing communications a record has received from their record. It should either be an action or a whole new area of the constituent record.

I'm not on the EAP (I don't think so) but I got the email marketing function at the end of last week.  I'd love to be able to have it automatically add and action when I send an email out.
