We are trying to move to NXT donation forms now that tribute gifts are possible. One bug that we are noticing is that the form defaults the tribute name, many times someone who has passed away, as the tribute notification name (for when someone wants to notify a friend/family member of the tribute gift). We have not made our form live yet, but I can guarantee this is going to lead to issues of donors not correcting this information, resulting in the tribute acknowledgement to be incorrectly addressed.
Agreed! We are a nonprofit working with a terminal illness and most of our online donations are tribute donations- it seems extremely unsensitive and will absolutely cause problems with our donors.
Agreed that this is a concern. It would be trivial and conform with standard practices on the web to have the dropdown selection be blank rather than one of the options selected. This would then require input/action from the user. Data validation could (and should) prevent form submission without a non-blank selection in this field.
Sorry, forgot to attach the screenshot to further explain.
