We actually used to show the fund name on the email and removed it. When there's only one fund set on the form, the donor doesn't see the fund name. We received significant feedback from orgs that the fund name (fund descriptions) is often not donor-friendly, and we currently don't allow recaptioning.

We have plans to add recaptioning support later this year. At or after that time, we will likely add the fund name, including the provided caption, into the acknowledgements when the form did not allow a fund selection from the donor.

Why don't you show the fund even if it is the only one offered on the form? Donors sometimes question whether they donated to the correct fund if it is not in the gift details

Today in the donation form, if you allow selection from multiple funds, the fund name WILL show up in the confirmation screen and email. Here's a screenshot - "In support of" is part of the donation form details merge field block.

We do NOT currently show the fund if it was the only one offered on the form.

Let me know if there's a variation of this you're still looking for, otherwise I am going to mark this Idea as Already Exists.
