Add "Fund(s)" as a merge field on donation form confirmation emails and notifications in web view

Hello - we would like the ability to see which fund was donated to on the notifications from donation forms in NXT.  Additionally, we would like funds to be an optional merge field on the receipt, so that the donor will receive a receipt that reads "Thank you for your gift of {{gift amount}} to the {{fund name}} at UC Riverside.  We have over 700 funds for donors to choose from, and noting the specific fund they donated to on the receipt is important to our donors.

Idea cleanup - marking this as shipped. Today, the fund name is part of transaction details merge field as long as the donor selected a fund on the form. So, if the donor saw the fund selector, the fund name will display on their confirmation email.

If the form is setup for only one fund, the fund name will not automatically be included in the confirmation email - this is because there is no way in the form to add a donor-friendly name if the fund wasn't made visible to the donor. For this circumstance, we recommend you add text to the confirmation with the fund name "Thank you for your gift of X to the scholarship fund." Since all donors will be giving to that fund, you can add static content to that effect.

If you are using URL passthrough to pass in a fund name, we recently added support for the passed in name to display in the confirmation email in the transaction details merge field. So essentially, the rule for when this displays is, if the donor saw the fund name in the form, the fund name will be included in the confirmation email. If not, it will not display and you'll need to add content to the confirmation manually.

This idea was submitted in our early adopter program back in 2019 - so I am marking this as shipped. If this still isn't working as you'd like it, please submit a new idea and we will reassess!

Yes, please. After spending two days trying to find a solution on my own, I finally discovered the answer here. This feature would greatly improve our ability to personalize donor communications, and I truly hope it’s implemented soon.

Yes, please! We need the merge field for the receipt and thank you email letter.

Any workarounds for this? I too need this function...

We need the fund especially on the notification emails. It was available in online express- should be here too. Saves the people receiving the notification emails from having to go look it up as well

I should add, this is particularly important for split gifts to show the donor that we are honoring their wishes in the distribution of the gift.
