Allow Donation forms to be marked as inactive on NXT
I need a way to mark a donation form as inactive on NXT, as the link has been shared out with people but we need to stop donations for that fund online.
Yes, you can turn the form back on after it is closed by unchecking the close form checkbox on the form, and/or changing the date/time to further in the future.
But can the form be turned back on after it is closed? It doesn't sound like it. We need to be able to turn forms on and off, as we have many that are only used at certain times of the year, and having to recreate that form each year and re-embed it into our website is way too much extra work for both our team and our marketing team.
We've now shipped a feature on both Optimized and Standard Forms that allows you to close a form. For any forms you want to close or make inactive, edit the form and on the confirmations tab, select to close form and select a date/time. You also can write a closed message that will display in place of the form.
More information is available in yesterday's What's New!
We would love to be able to deactivate a form or give it a cutoff date/time. We use QR codes on posters for certain things throughout the year and just can't take it off the website.
We'll be starting development on the ability to "close" a form in Q4 2025. I'll update the status of this idea to Planned once we have a more concrete ship date!
I am suprised this is not an option already. We use donations for short-term appeals and we need a way to mark them as inactive to prevent someone donation to the appeal when it is closed. I have been advised to delete the forms instead, but this is not a good solution as you lose all performance data on the forms. This means you have no way to review past performance of appeals and you therefore lose a lot of data and learning opportunities.
We need this ASAP so people stop giving to forms with older appeals. I honestly thought it was already an option until I just checked. Seems like the option to make Active/Inactive or add dates should have been there from the start.
I don't understand why this function is not the same as in OLX. We don't want to have to delete the history of what forms have been used. There are times when it is quicker to mark the form inactive than reach out to marketing or IT to have the website updated.
I would also love to be able to sort them based on active or inactive. When I'm updating campaign or appeals on a form I want a list of just active forms.
Some giving forms are not embedded on a website or use button on the website to go to the URL of the giving form. Some of our forms are strictly just the giving form. We need to a way to "turn off" or disable the form so no other gifts come thru for some of our giving forms until it is used again in the future. This is very critical with campus partners to have this need.
I would consider it basic functionality for any fundraiser to be able to make a form active or inactive within the NXT Forms dashboard. We are currently reliant on either website admins to archive pages / remove code, or a SysAdmin to disable our payment gateway. In the event of an urgent need to disable a form, this is far from ideal.
This would be great as we have different forms that we only use at certain times of the year, and being able to toggle them between active/inactive would be very helpful. This was something we were able to do in Luminate that we miss!
Oh goodness, I completely missed the status drop down. Thank you @Samantha. X x x
@kim wright you can filter your donation form list to show only live forms if you don't want to see the closed forms.

This is not actually what we meant, We can take the form from our website, we need a way to archive the form in the GDonation forms List.
Thank you! Love it!

We're looking at a late November/early December release date for this. Stay tuned!
We could really do with this, especially when we need to look back at donations on a form but don't want to use it again.

How is this not a feature yet?!
