After speaking with a technical representative regarding the connection of apps to RE NXT they concluded that the user who completes and oversees the apps (i.e. has access to 'Applications' under the Control Panel Menu or through the Marketplace must be an Environment Admin. The BB support team also confirmed that an Environment Admin will have access to all products. We have purchased a number of products from Blackbaud and thus by allowing our Database/CRM lead to have access to the apps Marketplace they would also have access to our financial systems through BB. We certainly do not want to allow this to occur. Could you imagine having your Database lead access all your other BB products as an administrator. Our Auditors have flagged this as a significant potential Security Breach Point and one which we will not be implementing until it is fixed by BB.
