Fully agree that email text and description should be included in the action when sending emails to constituents. So much work to send an email and create an action where text is not captured.
Yes, and when you send an email from a constituent record in NXT, the email text is not captured in the Action so you have to copy and paste that into the Action box.
I cannot believe this is not possible. We are trying to move away from OLX in preparation for everything moving to NXT but then simple things like this are not possible, creating more work for people.

Or in email module on donor page, the ability to click back to the email to see content and analytics without then having to go back and hunt for the email in marketing
It would be great to see emails sent using the Marketing/Email function in RENXT in the actions and/or it would be useful to have Email as an option in the Timeline tab so it can quickly be seen that an email was sent.
I can't BELEIVE that when you add an action in from within RENXT by clicking on the email address on the constituent record and being prompted "add action" that IT WON'T ADD THE TEXT OF THE ACTUAL EMAIL TO THE NOTES!!! yes, I'm purposefully putting that in caps. Come on Blackbaud! grrrrrrr........
And allow the action to be marked "Completed". We tried doing this through Workflow Designer and ended up with a ton of Overdue actions and had to go back and mark them Completed. Way too much work for the amount of emails that we send.
Yes! This should be available to add as an action OR as an appeal - whatever each organization chooses. And something that can be changed with each "send" of an email - sometimes an appeal and sometimes an action.
We are new to RENXT. Just sending our first marketing email, and I am shocked that this is not automatic. It seems like the most basic of functionality. Please add soon!
Agree, but with the option to link to an appeal/package as well. Some of our emails are straight communication pieces (actions) while others are asks (appeals).

This has been open for over 18 months...It would be a very helpful fix. Any updates?
Doesn't this capability already exist using the Blackbaud/Outlook Add-on tool? A friend pointed it out to me recently and it's wonderful.

The amount of time we spend on workarounds to this issue is massively frustrating.
It's kind of embarrassing that this wasn't automatically part of the process from the beginning. Entry level donor databases do this automatically.
Or let us choose whether an action is added by marketing emails?
