Email Signup Form - Like what used to be available through Online Express

We use the old OEX email signup form on our website. Now that we create our email blasts within RE NXT, I'd like to have control over email signups on this platform too. An easier way to approve sign-ups would be great too!

Updating status of this idea to Planned - we are looking at a Q1 release for a "Constituent Form" that will allow collection of constituent information, including consent channels and categories.

second this! it would make so much more sense to have everything run through RE NXT!

This would really be nice - the database mode version is pretty antiquated.

With the new rollout of consent this is even more important for us. We need a single, streamlined system for email. We are currently using Online Express for enews sign-ups while emails, unsubscribes, and opt-ins through other forms are coming through RE NXT - as these systems evolve they are working together less efficiently and it's causing issues for us. We tried creating a sign-up form through the event form but it's clunky and involves extra, unnecessary steps. We really need an enews sign-up form through RE NXT as soon as possible.

Looking for a simple mechanism for our supporters to control all comms preferences. A consent form only for all the various communications we do. Currently we just have a third party form and manually update them. Tiresome. I think the consent forms are available on donation & event forms. but I am looking for just purely consent options for comms preferences.

Yes, now that our communication email is through NXT there is no way to process sign ups

Absolutely ridiculous that this isn't available. There was an email signup form available when we first migrated. What happened? Why hasn't it returned?

Yes, the inability to add new email subscribers is one of the two main reasons why we still use Online Express. We are using emails in NXT, time to bring this option along with it.

Please add this feature. We need a much more robust email sign-up form that allows things like location to help us send future segmented emails.

My team has transitioned to email marketing on RENXT and I'm so dissapointed in the lack of basic email marketing features available in comparison to our previous platform (Mailchimp). Please create a simple way add a sign up form and get people on our email list.

I just assumed that RE NXT would have a way to create a simple form for email signups. Very disappointed to find out it did NOT. This is basic email functionality. So far, I'm very happy we moved up from NetCommunity to NXT, except for this.

Please offer a signup form in Email Marketing on Raisers Edge NXT that allows people to opt into specific email categories.

It is wild that this STILL isn't available, 4 years after this (and similar Ideas) was posted.

It's baffling that we are being encouraged to move to RE NXT web view to send emails, but we still have to go into a dated, clunky database to process new email signups. I lose valuable work time just waiting for the database view to load. Please prioritize this feature in RE NXT. It would also be amazing if we could add fields such as phone number, birthdate, email preferences etc. and not just be limited to first name, last name, email. This is a basic thing that most marketing platforms offer. Why can't Blackbaud?

This is really needed. I see below there's a workaround to create a free event registration form, but that would be tracked in the events tile in constituent records rather than the consent tile, which isn't ideal. We'd really like to switch over from Online Express but it doesn't seem like this is an option for us yet.

This feature would be especially helpful for us as we try to streamline our processes and bring as much as possible into NXT, as we currently use a seperate email provider

I can't believe there still isn't a native way to have someone sign up for emails in NXT in 2023. Everyone is too used to workarounds for something that should be a standard option

Using RE NXT Events - Online Event Registration and adding a $0 fee, and having consent categories, solicit codes and business rules set up, you can have a single URL that allows constituents to opt-in (yes) or Opt-out (no) any content type you wish to specify. It works great--well at least if everyone is in the united states. See the idea bank link I posted just before this.
