Most events are free for our invitees therefore, Billing & Payment section will not appear. If no email address in that section, a Constituent Record will automatically be added for them. Please fix this issue. Using the email in the Registration section would be better. Also allow for required email of host but not named guest. Want ability to not search for named guests in RE so Constituent Records aren't added for them when they are not found. Most guests will not be in our database and we don't want them added.
This is a great idea and helps reduce the number of Constituent records in our database as most of the event registrations are free especially with events going vitural. This should also be changed in the ONLINE Express forms in the database view.

Today we released a change for guests. If the guest is not the host, it will attempt to match them to a constituent record. We have changed what happens when no match is found or if multiple matches are found. In these cases, a non-constituent/Named Guest record will be created for them.
You can use the Edit Participant functionality from the Participant list to further change the Participant if needed.
This change will be outlined in next Tuesday's What's New post!

This is greatthank you!
Hi!
Just passing along a quick update on this. We will be shipping a change in the next few weeks for event guests captured through the online form that will:
1) First try to match to a constituent if an contact information has been collected (ex: First name, last name, email)
2) If no match is found, a Named Guest (non-constituent/relationship record) will be created.
Currently, if contact information is included a constituent record will be created.
Please note that the person filling out the form, whether they are attending the event or not, will still always be a constituent.
I'll update this Idea after this ships. Thank you for all your feedback and votes that helped us prioritize and bring this work forward!
Thanks,
