Allow pledge payments to be automated (just like recurring gifts)
It's great that recurring gifts can now be processed automatically, but it would be fantastic to also be able to process pledge payments automatically. We have several pledge payments that are done monthly by credit card - would be nice to treat these like recurring gifts and auto process! Side note - eTapestry (our old database) did this. Both were treated the same in automatic processing.

Auto Pledge Payment Process
Merged Currently, we have the ability to make recurring gift payment Auto pay, however, there is no ability for Pledge Payments with Installments. It will be very helpful if we can add this capability.0

Allow Recurring Gift Payments to be applied to Pledges
Merged I have donors who set up pledges and then want to pay them with their recurring gift in NXT. I need to be able to apply these recurring gifts as pledge payments. PLEASE HELP1

Totally agree. We are spending time on workarounds, when paying off a pledge via recurring gift is the perfect way to pay off a pledge.
Agreed! We have donors setting up a pledge and wanting to pay if off via a recurring gift (they give us the end date via the gift comments in BBMS and we enter it) but this is not available. Messes with reporting and makes a lot more manual work for us and the donor.
I agree that this is a big need and would be essential to our office running more efficiently. This would also be great with the new client portal feature.
Pledge payments need to change. We have the following complaints by donors:
They want to add weekly donations
They want to be able to choose the start and end date!
I want these payments to automatically generate.
You have all the pieces there really. This needs to change to reflect what other systems like yours can do.
Yes, it's crazy that recurring gifts can't be tracked as pledge payments in NXT. Messes with campaign reporting and leads to having to do a bunch of manual manipulation that should be unnecessary.
Yes please! We have a constituent who is setting up a 2 year pledge, and when I ran it through the NXT recurring form, it doesn't allow for an end date, so I'm going to have to do some gymnastics to avoid it running over. And then, we can't even record the total amount of the pledge because I can't put a total on the recurring gift. I literally just had a meeting with my boss on whether we can do this or not this morning...
Absolutely! Was shocked to "upgrade" from eTapestry and discover that this is missing!
Yes! The new recurring gifts automation would be exciting if I didn't still have to exact same manual process as before for our pledge payments. We also had this capability with etap.
