Ability for recurring gifts to be applied to pledges

It is a great weakness in the system that recurring gifts can't be applied to pledges. It's to our advantage for donors to make automated pledge payments, but then I can't apply those payment to the pledge. For reporting purposes, I need to record the total amount pledged, but then all of my reporting is thrown off because the payments aren't recorded properly. I think this is an URGENT fix. By the way, I tried to vote on earlier similar recommendations, but the system wouldn't let me, so I had to add a new one.

    Yes I agree as well this is a simple development thing to include a Pledge ID as a property in the Gift Submission and update the database. It is Ridiculous that such a common request and complaint has fallen to the way side when this should be easy to implement within two weeks for any experienced developer!

    I agree, this makes running pledge reminders extremely hard and creates more unnecessary work to zero it out and readd in another transactin to attach it to the pledge.

    Totally agree. We can't use the pledge reports without being able to have these gifts reduce their balance.
