Yes, I have scheduled my other reports to email me on at 10pm on the last day of each month. These snapshots are then saved and shared with other staff who do not access RE on a regular basis and can't be bothered logging in for a report, but they are interested in top level reports. 

Also, I have built custom reports to give me more detail on current appeals and would like these to be emailed to me more often so I can keep any eye on the appeal progress without having to log into webview, as I still spend most of my days in database view.

Thank you very much for the reply. As far as I can tell, I cannot share a link to a custom dashboard. Please correct me if I'm wrong, or if that is perhaps blocked to certain levels of account permissions. I am able to create custom dashboards, but I do not see the ability to share a link in my custom reporting dashboards. I do see that I am able to share the standard produced dashboards such as 'Overview'.

The reason that the scheduled email can help is the automation of weekly reports sent out to the various participating funds within our campaign. We have our main campaign which is supported by various locations that we communicate progress to individually. For example, a certain fund has a portion of the goal they raise towards our campaign, and we need to communicate progress, participation, appal stats, etc. We would be sending these weekly updates out to about 70 different funds each week. I suppose sharing a web based linked would be okay, especially if it would be interactive and not a static screenshot as a PDF shows up as. Let me know if you would like me to clarify any of this. 

I agree!  I have hundreds of subscriptions (emailed reports) from our data warehouse that I need to duplicate in NXT.  People don't want to click on a link to get the report - they want the report attached to the email for ease of viewing.

Thanks for posting. I'd be curious to learn more about how you would like to use this scheduled email capability. You currently have the ability to share a link to the dashboard with someone that doesn't have a Blackbaud ID. This is of course one way to email the information to people. I can tell from your idea and request that this isn't enough or how you would like the problem solved?

What are other ways and reasons that the scheduled email capability can help you share your dashboards?

I agree whole heartedly.  I just had this conversation with someone from Blackbaud.  It really decreases the value of the custom reports.
