We also use the Gift Code field to track and report gifts. It is how we communicate the purpose of gifts to our finance department and is used to reconcile revenue each month.

We use this field for our gift channel.

We urgently need this to track our in memory gifts. Because of the type of org we are, almost any type of gift can be in mem, and this is how we track it.

Please add this to web view. I use it to track the amount received by constituency. Since I'm at a school and so many people have more than one constituency I have to have an easy way to track this. I can run a statistical report in RE by Gift Code and I want to create an insight that will allow me to do the same thing. I can't use Gift Constituency because I can only choose a code that is on that record. For gifts from Foundations and Donor Advised Funds we want to view the gift by the soft credits primary constituency for the reports pertaining to where our donations are coming from. We want to put the hard credit on the organization that sent us the check so telling me that the soft credit can be the hard credit is not the way we're going to do it. Adding Gift Code as an option to Insights would be fantastic.

We use this field for reporting, tracking gifts, and to balance month end. There is no other field that is used that can do the same work as this field does.

This is needed by our organization to enter gifts - we track how the gift comes in via the Gift Code tab. Whether it comes in via our website, mail, direct deposit, etc.
