It's easy for users to get tripped up by the default Action Status filters in actions lists.  Lists automatically include a filter selecting only "Past Due" or "Open" actions.  That filter does not show in the listing of filters at the top of the list (the way that "include deceased" filters show in Constituent lists, for example).  Showing the default filter  would be helpful and build user confidence.
