I do not understand why I have to click twice on the search bar 90% of the time to begin my search, and only every once in while now do I get away with one click. It's very annoying and unproductive.
Wholeheartedly agree. The new UI requires an extra click, while introducing additional redundant space on the menu bar line. Why not just put a search bar in there? There's plenty of space. Here's a quick MS Paint mockup!
i'd also like a Tool Tip or something for the button with the icon showing 3 stacked disks...which I assume is the control to open RE:7. Non-tech folks aren't going to figure that one out.

This is terrible UX design. To have to click on the right when you type and get results on the left is just shoddy.
Everyone in my office has independently mentioned how frustrating this change has been for them.
