The "copy to" option is not what everyone was asking for. We don't want duplicates on one action record (for looking at solicitor credit) but we want everyone who was at a particular meeting to show up when we are looking at their consistuent record.

Need (yesterday) the ability to more easily duplicate record information, such as prospect status, into spousal record... please and thank you!!!!

The ability to copy to (another individual constituent) is useless.

Agree with others who are saying the core request was not addressed with this "Copy to" feature. Can someone point me to an open idea that revisits this need?

I just wanted to say that I agree with Brain Davies' comment - this is an ok solution but it is not what the idea was actually asking for. The idea was for a one-to-many option, and what Blackbaud gave us was the ability to copy a one-to-one option multiple times. It's different.

Also the copy function is an ok solution, but not really the nature of this idea as I understood it. I was hoping for the ability to add and manage the same action on multiple cosntituents. For example I am meeting with two business associates about a company sponsorship. I can add both individuals as well as the company to the action and see the contact records on all of the records.

The system of copying also create problems when it come to counting solicitor interactions for annual metrics because one meeting may create two actions if the solicitor meets with a couple who both have constituent records.

A couple of questions about this new functionality:

1. I noticed you cannot copy TO a business/org/foundation record FROM a person record. You can copy FROM a business/org/foundation record TO a person record, but not at the time of creating the new action, only after it's already been entered. Is this a bug that will be repaired?

2. Is it possible (either globally or at the user level) to disable the notifications of newly assigned actions?

@Nora Probably because the copy action thing is now live and Blackbaud are tidying up the related ideas.

Why am I getting copies of all the ideas today?

RE NXT will have a new number 1 item after today. The copy action feature has shipped. There are a lot of comments on this post that are suggestions for items on top of what the main idea what requesting so we will have to track those in a new idea.

Ah. I see. We'd have to pay for it if we wanted it. Go figure!

I am not a databese manager for our university and I don't think this is something I could do. I think i would have to go through our database folks to make this kind of action happen. are you suggesting this on an individual capability basis?

This would be so useful and should definitely be added as a feature in NXT.

Just stopping by to give this a thumbs up. This is a fundamental and widely-used feature in Blackbaud CRM (which I used at a previous organization). I was disappointed to find it wasn't also available in NXT. Our work-around is to copy and paste into the additional record and also to set up an alert on connected records to "check for activity on _______" This is cumbersome and inconsistently employed.

Yes, please add this! I want to give my fundraisers the ability to globally add an Action to Lists in web view, but not to All Constituents, like you can do in db view.
