In RE 7, you have the ability to create multiple notes per action. Currently, there's only one note per action in NXT. I'm not sure how NXT decides which one to show? I hope that we'll have the aility to see and create multiple notes in the future.
When you open the action record (click the link on the constituent record or in the action summary column in lists) you can add multiple notes to the action. Thanks for the feedback!
Very excited to see all of the action notes in NXT now, however in RE7 the action that shows in the actions grid is the first note added. So we always add a summary of the action first, and then a call report or an email as a second note. The note that shows initially in NXT is not the same one as RE7. Any chance this'll change so that both interfaces show the same note in the "preview" screen for the action?
My mistake entirely! Sorry about that. I was looking at another older idea around attachments and I guess I just had "attachments" on my brain. You are correct that there is no way to view or add more than one note on an action in NXT. I'll make sure this request is forwarded to our development team. Thanks for setting me straight Jen!
Jarod, how do you add a second Note to an Action? Or even see it? I have a test record with two notes on an action, but I still only see one. Unless I'm in the wrong spot.
I do like & appreciate that the Note Description and Notepad itself are no longer smushed together into one line on the Actions & Notes Tile of the Constituent Record. (Would love if that were the case throughout the product!)
I believe this has been resolved in a recent release. Marking this has shipped for now but let me know if I've missed the intent of this post!
It's actually really confusing. When you have multiple notes on an action that you created in RE7, it looks like the note that previews in the action list is NOT the same note as the one that displays when you click to view/edit the action. This is a pretty messy, bad issue.
I also don't like that NXT forces you to add a note to an Action. I don't need to have a Note on Actions that we sent a birthday card (although it would be great to be able to Attach the scan to the Action or link the Action to the Attachment) so I'm entering Notes with a single character in them, and then later going in thru RE:7 to delete those Notes to keep my database clean. If I weren't trying to do as much work in NXT as I possibly can, I would just do it via 7 to begin with.
