In order to use the portal we need to be able to filter out non-gift funds. IE if they sign up for an event we don't want that to show in their giving history or their total lifetime giving. Those are not donations but rather transactions. Or it would be nice to have the option to show the receipt amount in the portal so they can see they paid for an event but it's not a tax-deductible donation.
I revisited portal today hoping to see some updates and sadly there weren't any. We need this to be able to launch the giving portion of the portal. It will be confusing when we send out year end statements and the events aren't included. Or at the minimum let us customize the report that is sent to let them know not to use this for tax purposes.
