Event Forms are currently unusable for our nonprofit because Online Data Review and specifically being able to use "Review and match all transactions" (a necessity to prevent drastically increasing our number of duplicates in the system that would need to be manually fixed) doesn't work for Event Registrations. It needs to work for both gifts AND event forms.
Please please please stop the system from creating duplicate records!
This functionality is essential for preventing duplicates in the system. Please prioritize.
This is needed. The event form data review seems to be built from the same review used by the online gift forms, but with less functionality. I'm not sure why it wouln't operate in the same way, but checking only first name and email causes a lot of uneccessary duplicate records.
This absolutely needs to happen - We have multiple events going on currently, and it takes me a tremendous amount of time to review duplicates and participant records that have not been matched to existing constituents. We dropped NetCommunity to switch to NXT's event forms, and it's very frustrating using a half-baked product!
This is a must have - a holding area where we can approve transactions first. Your registration page is useless for me without this!!
Is there a timeline yet as to when this issue might be addressed?
Please add this!!
Yes, please implement. I am having to do cleanup of new constituents that are automatically created when the spouse who isn't primary is the one who registers the couple.
Yes, please!
100% to adding this!
Agree, please do this.
Please implement this! We have a great deal of public events whose registration forms are set up in NXT and the inability to match/review records is causing piles of duplicate records that I need to clean up. The functionality that already exists in the donation forms would be so helpful here.
I 100% agree that having the same ability to choose the constituent from a list is a must have. To many duplicates to much work for those who have to keep the database clean. You offer this in dataview now offer it in webiew.
100% agree. I find it frustrating that Blackbaud introduced this functionality for gift transactions but not event registration forms. Different teams working on each little part of the system, and seemingly not being coordinated well.
Mary Beauclair I cannot agree with you more - and for tributes too! (That was just recently added.) We would have to hire someone to do merging all day to keep up with this and it's not possible to hire at this time - thus my very clean database is quickly on its way to being a trash heap and I am doing most of my work in Excel. We don't have the choice of not using NXT for internal reasons.
Not having an option to review and match all transactions for event registrations is the ONLY reason we are not using event registrations. We are hoping this will change soon!
I need this functionality. We have thousands of alumni in our database who do not necessarily have up to date email addresses, and so when they register for events like an alumni reunion, almost every single one of them gets a new constituent record because the matching does not find them. I have donation forms set to "Review and match all transactions" but I also need this for event registrations. Many people have multiple email addresses and/or phone numbers, or they use nicknames etc. and these are not actually new constituents, so I need the ability to look at the entries and match them to the correct constituent before the constituents are automatically created. This should not be hard to do since it is already possible for donations.
It blows my mind that Event forms are "different" from Donation forms and therefor not able to be reviewed for new data. What's the difference???? It's data coming in.
Please, please, please implement this! It is difficult to use event registration forms as we get so many duplicate constituents created when we can't review and match the registrant.
No mention of this in the product update briefing. Come on, everything else you're doing with event registrations is totally useless without this.
