When a constituent makes an online contribution (or uses an online form) they can selects a Channel/Category to opt in/out, when they opt out, RE also markes their email address as “dnc” - when this happens you can no longer send allowed transactional emails to your constituent (which completely breaks the intent) - I have been unable to find a solution to prevent this from happening while allowing a constituent to choose whether or not they wish to receive a newsletter, or direct mail, or whatever - If you have a solution, I would love to hear it, otherwise Blackbaud needs to urgently fix this. Has anyone tried the AI acknowlegement yet - we have, won't work in this instance.
Additionally, the Unsubscribe link needs to take the constituent to a communications preference “window” which then allows them to Opt-out of communication channels without making their email “dnc” for transactional purposes.
