Allow selection of category or field type when creating new tables in NXT

When creating new tables in NXT, it seems they default to 'gift' tables and the description only allows currency/numbers as the field entries. Allow us to select the field type in addition to the category so it gets recorded and used correctly.

There is a way of doing this: when you create a new attribute in database view, click on the table field to select a table and scroll down to the very bottom where it says 'create a new table'. You can then name a new table and go to webview to add the table entries. The table itself will not have a category assigned so you can add whatever field entries you like.

Apparently this used to be a thing, because we have a ton of archived tables with various categories like Action, Biographical, Event, etc. I was super bummed to see it kept defaulting to Gift.

i was trying to figure this out today…as i’m new to raisers edge. I was only able to create the text custom field in dbv. That was weird and inconvenient. Doesn’t seem like it would be a hard option to allow in webview.

Oops, just created another idea for this per suggestion from support. This seems like a major oversight!

yeah this is driving me nuts. i want to create a table with only text entries (constituent attribute) but it doesn't give me an option to select the table type.. and you all took it away from db view so i have no option to fix this!!!
