My team of fundraisers uses dashboard panels in classic Raiser's Edge to plan their trips by geographic region. They are not using NXT because they cannot effectively plan trips.
We really need to have the region field available in NXT. we need to identify donors by region for the development directors to make contacts in their area.
We could greatly use counties and regions as NXT filters. Our MGO team works by counties and Regions. To be able to filter ob these fields would be HUGE help!
Definitely different! To use Mapping would probably mean setting up a List with the Mapping Filters set for each Region, and then training staff to start with one of those Lists, save as a copy, and add whatever other Filters are needed. If you have more than 20 Regions, that's a lot of Lists to maintain and sort through (plus, if I were the DBA, I'd keep a second set as a backup!).
Would love to see [Shipped] changed to [Likely to Implement] on this one!
I would like to see Regions and Counties added to filters in creating Lists. We took a lot of time dividing out home state into regions so that we can pull certain areas for Alumni gatherings. Also, it just makes sense to include counties as well.
Jarod Bonino - List Mapping does NOT take care of this!! Can Mapping draw a region based on specific counties? It can't and that is how our regions are configured. Mapping draws a rectangle around an area and I know few counties that are rectangular in shape.
My organization has worked around this by creating a Constituent Attribute we call Region in order to filter our fundraisers NXT lists by Region. Since the field already exists in RE it is silly to have to duplicate it in attribute just because it's not an available filter in NXT.

Marking this idea as shipped as I believe List Mapping takes care of this! Let me know if for any reason I am missing something.
