Exclude inactive campaigns, funds and appeals from report filters by default
It is crucial when filtering, etc on gifts, constituents that we don't have to scroll through miles of old campaigns, funds and appeals. This option is available in RE but not NXT. Seems like it was forgotten.
YES. I see that this has been an active issue for many years now. The idea that we cannot remove inactive funds, campaigns and appeals from a very long list for filtering in NXT is pretty absurd at this point.
Also, the inability to exclude a few appeals makes these reports impossible to use for final reporting. We want to exclude event revenue using an appeal, and we might only have a few dozen event appeals. We receive an error when trying to exclude them, "All values or up to 500 specific values can be selected." Having inactive appeals removed might resolve this.
The inability to hide inactive campaigns and funds make the reporting view in NXT essentially non-viable to our organization, which is a shame because it is such a powerful tool! Would love to see this rolled out in the next update.
This is one that I can't believe doesn't have thousands of votes. Of course if all the duplicates were combined, maybe it would? Our team of gift officers and our leader cannot be expected to know what is inactive. How can something that this core continue to be missing from the Web View?
Yes, please do this! It is very time consuming and makes the report much less user friendly to have to scroll through every active and inactive fund (of which we have 300+) to find and tick the boxes of the 10 active funds.
YES!!! This would also solve an issue we are having where one transformational gift is skewing our Overview graph to the point where it is unusable. A good problem to have, but I can't just assign it to a unique Fund, Campaign, or Appeal and then filter it out because only "All values or up to 500 specific values can be selected" from the HUGE dropdown including both active AND inactive.
It would be great if you could exclude inactive items from filter menus please. But also, we can see deleted ones (e.g - a deleted campaign in database view and definitely no longer exists - however it is appearing in NXT campaign filters!)
Is there any movement on this? We have SO many inactive funds by fiscal year, that scrolling through is such a hassle, and we want our fundraisers/director to be able to do this independently.
Sorely needed!
Please! So time consuming and confusing for our fundraisers to have to scroll!
Yes, please.
Please can this issue be given some attention
Oh my god YES! This needs to be applied to all NXT Fundraising Report filters, including other Tables like Action Types, Opportunity Purpose, etc.

Please consider making this change sooner rather than later. It really is a time-sink to have to comb through long-dead funds, appeals, etc!
We have so many old appeals/Funds - The reporting function would be so much more usable if you could exclude inactive fields.

We have needed this for years, please make this update. The time wasted having to scroll through inactive fields is overwhelming.

Agreed!
