When merging constituents in web view Consents and Tax Declarations are not merged. I have to go find the inactivated source record in database view then merge it into the retained record, or the Consents and Tax Declarations are lost. These are really important pieces of information and it is frustrating that they were left out of the design of the web view merge tool. Duplicate management has gone from a single step process in db view to a multi-step process which is taking more time and is less accurate.
I believe that merging Gift Aid may have been dealt with now that it is available to view in webview, but consent remains crucial data that only merges in database view.
This is basic functionality, not a "desired new idea" and so should have been included in NXT along-side Consent. Many users I have spoken with were unaware that Consent does NOT merge, (as we have never been provided with an indicator that it did not) and are now dealing with constituents with vital missing information.
