It's great that we are able to create Attachment Types and filter on them in NXT. However, it is necessary to have the ability to edit the table of Attachment Types in order to streamline organization and to remove unnecessary types that might have been created in testing or some other reason.
Sorry I didn't see your comment from 3/18 until today. And now that I've tested, I get it.
When Attachments became available in NXT, whatever Media Types were in your 7 db were copied over to be NXT Attachment Tags (where Type became Tag).
However, I just tested adding a Type in 7 > Config > Tables > Media Types, and it doesn't appear in NXT. So you, BB Support, and NXT Help are correct there. If you embed a new file in 7 and add a new Type on that Media Record, when it appears in NXT, the new Type appears as a Tag...but not in the dropdown, only on that particular Attachment (and in the View Dropdown on the Tile itself).
And, just to confirm, there still doesn't appear to be any way to edit or remove a Tag from NXT. Once created, it's there. Assuming eventually we'll be able to see/edit Tables in NXT, especially those not mirrored in 7.
Thanks Jennifer, but I have confirmed with BB support that Media Type and Attachment Type are not directly correlated. As of right now, Attachment Types can be added to but not edited or deleted.
You should still be able to do this in RE:7 > Config > Tables > Media Type. The Admin and Config sections/functions are still managed via RE:7 and probably will be for a while.
