Add flexibility to "Gender" drop down menu.

It would be helpful to add some flexibility to the "Gender" drop down menu. It would be helpful to have "Transgender," "Other," etc.

Thanks, Jarod. My comment was a bit different from the original one, so I've created a new idea: "Ability to edit "Male" and "Female" in gender table" - Thanks!

Tammie, I like that idea! I just did a quick search and found that it actually already exists in the ideas portal here: https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-3722

I would recommend voting and subscribing to that idea so you'll be notified if there are any plans developed around it.

It would follow in line to also have a place to state which pronouns they want to use as well. (They. Them, He/She etc)

Hey everyone! Sorry for any confusion this may have caused, but it appears as though this Idea was never updated when this functionality was shipped. I just wanted to pop into the comments and clarify that this is possible today. The "Gender" field is controlled by code table values which are currently only accessible in database view. If you add/edit code table values there, they will show as options in your Gender drop-down menu. I hope that helps!

My org is changing it's policy on gender recognition (Woman, Man, Nonbinary, Gender Identity Not Listed Above, and Prefer Not to State): "... recommend being consistent with the policy and using woman/man instead of female/male because female and male are technically not “genders” but biological sex.” We would appreciate the implementation of this requested flexibility.

Yes - this is a high priority. It would be great if these allowed customization so we could fill in our own or use pronouns (she/her/hers, they/them/theirs, etc) rather than female/male options only.
