Gifts in NXT should show soft credit amount distributed instead of full amount Merged

We receive aggregate gifts (from donor advised funds, workplace giving campaigns, etc) where individual donors receive soft credits for partial amounts of the full gift.

It can be confusing to look at the Giving tile and (especially) the Giving History tile when there are soft credits only partially attributed to that record. It is easy to miss the portion of the soft credit and be confused by the larger amount.

It would be helpful if NXT had a way to only show the actual amount that the donor is soft credited for - and not the rest of the gift which is attributed to other donors.

    This is extremely confusing to fundraisers and should match what database view shows. If you want to keep pushing NXT with the threat of taking away database view then please start listening to your users. Showing the full amount of the gift is absolutely useless. The true soft amount is what is important

    Commenting to boost this. I think we should at least have the option to choose between the full amount and the soft credit amount displaying.

    I just opened a case today, to see if I could change the default view - toggle this on/off. This is a big issue and HIGHLY misleading for fundraisers. The view is correct in Database view, but somehow defaults incorrectly for NXT. I'm not sure why these two items would be so different.

    I have to continue to use database view to get an accurate accounting for several companies in my portfolio due to this issue. Database view only shows the amount of the soft credit per organization, why can't web view?

    Yes! I just logged in to submit this as needing fixed! Because of this displaying incorrectly, a senior staff member mistakenly gave the wrong information for a donor's giving history. The way it is displayed in database view is perfect.
