Add Finder Number
We use this gift field to store the unique ID of direct mail prospects purchased from third-parties. The finder number is important if we have to contact the third-party source about a gift from a prospect/donor.0

Add Mailing ID
We use a number in the Mailing ID field in DB view to easily identify the platform that a gift was processed through. For example 1 = Caging, 5 = Authorize, etc. It's very useful for querying and reporting. -
