It would not matter how the gifts were entered into batch, API, integration, manually entered, import (soon), or via online forms. The ability to setup the columns is the same process for all of them. So when the custom fields are individual columns, this would be the case for all batches.

@Anthony, LO gifts can be batched in within RE NXT web view. It's fully functional other than being able to see all the custom fields we could as columns in db view. That is why I was asking if the update applies to both Form gifts and LO gifts batched in within RE NXT.

@Sharlene This post is specifically about batch entry in RE NXT web view. Anything Luminate related would be handled outside of this update.
@Donal The pledge application process was fixed just before BBCON. If you have not tried it recently, please give it another shot and those items should pull into the applied payment as expected.

When a gift is applied (via the batch process) to an existing pledge in Database View, the fields entered for that pledge (Fund, Campaign, Appeal, etc) are automatically prepopulated on the new gift being batched. This does not happen currently in Web view leading to the likelihood of gifts being entered with incorrect or inconsistent details. Please ensure this Database view functionality is replicated in Web view. Thanks.

Custom fields are being reworked as individual columns and that will come with defaults in this current quarter.

Default values for attributes/custom fields are still not available. I hope the "Shipped" tag does not mean we are not going to get this. The drill down option for attributes in NXT grid batch is a major downgrade.

Love it! Need this for a large recurring batch. Entering each of 100 entries individually twice a month will be very time consuming, Database let's me group add constituents to batch. I haven't figured out how to do this in NXT.

My colleagues would like to see a drop down menu for the selection of relevant Appeals and Campaigns when adding Gifts as these are intrinsically linked.

This also creates an issue when reviewing gift batches and not having a batch total to verify against our daily gift records, especially when we receive a large number of gifts in one day.

Yes! We also need to be able to use ALL fields that exist in Database View in web view when entering gifts on a batch (or individually). I'm not using web view for any gift entry because I cannot access the Gift Code field and everything takes so long to load or save. Let us keep our templates too. Batch is supposed to speed up gift entry and if we can't enter all relevant gift information as quickly and easily as we can in database view why use web view at all?

Hello! Entering gifts in NXT is positively AWFUL. It doesn't save! It never saves! I have to "Save & Close" to get my work to save at all. Lots of watching the pulsing green orb. What a bummer. We are down a person and I am doing the gift entry - I do not have time for this!

Adding this feature would make gift batch entry as seamless as it already is in DB view. Setting templates and defaults are a huge time saver for large gift batches, and makes the entry process itself more concise. With that, tabbing through data fields should be included in this grid view NXT gift batch entry.

Yes, please make sure Batch in NXT is as robust as Batch in database!!
