Add gifts to NXT Batch line by line as we do in Database view
I am very concerned about the way gifts need to be entered into a batch in NXT. We can't default columns, so things like appeals and/or Funds show automatically. It would be must easier if we could add gifts to a batch line by line as we do in database view. It seems like a much slower process in NXT and some days we have hundreds of gifts to enter. Please allow us to enter gifts into a batch like we do in database view.

This also creates an issue when reviewing gift batches and not having a batch total to verify against our daily gift records, especially when we receive a large number of gifts in one day.
Yes! We also need to be able to use ALL fields that exist in Database View in web view when entering gifts on a batch (or individually). I'm not using web view for any gift entry because I cannot access the Gift Code field and everything takes so long to load or save. Let us keep our templates too. Batch is supposed to speed up gift entry and if we can't enter all relevant gift information as quickly and easily as we can in database view why use web view at all?
Hello! Entering gifts in NXT is positively AWFUL. It doesn't save! It never saves! I have to "Save & Close" to get my work to save at all. Lots of watching the pulsing green orb. What a bummer. We are down a person and I am doing the gift entry - I do not have time for this!
Adding this feature would make gift batch entry as seamless as it already is in DB view. Setting templates and defaults are a huge time saver for large gift batches, and makes the entry process itself more concise. With that, tabbing through data fields should be included in this grid view NXT gift batch entry.
Yes, please make sure Batch in NXT is as robust as Batch in database!!
At a minimum, we should be able to set default values in a batch to expedite processing. Line by line as well would be amazing! Thanks.
It also loads so slowly when going between them. Stuff that'd take mere seconds in a normal batch (ex: applying pledge payments) takes so much longer.
As things stand now, you have a fraction of the functionality and none of it seems to work better than the traditional batch.

Please allow all fields of a recurring gift to appear and allow a template for batch entry in NXT
AGREED! The Batch feature in DB view is formatted to help SPEED up & SIMPLIFY multiple gift entry. Gift Data Entry as batch is currently available in NXT is equivalent to entering gifts on individual records & then showing them in a list off to the side.
The DB options allow for
creating templates
selecting relevant columns
hiding columns to speed up data entry
adding presets to speed up data entry
the ability to select constituent fields [according to your org policies & procedures] for adding New Constituent entry along the way [as required]
PLEASE make ensure NXT is equal to DB in Batch before we lose the DB view option altogether.
I am VERY concerned about this as well. My organization has multiple gift batch entry templates in database view with the needed columns for each type. It is IMPORTANT database gift entry continues to be accessible until the same functionality is in web base. Like Em said, this is really vital when there are a large number of gifts to be entered.
