Provide a way to secure RE NXT by fundraiser assignments

Edited the title. Edit note: This original request was to allow users to hide the constituent search in RE NXT. Changing to title to accommodate what I think is the more general requirement, which is to allow users to easily secure access by fundraiser assignments. One way we might accomplish this is by allowing users to disable search, but I don't want to assume that is the only (or easiest) way to accomplish the desired end goal. :)
We use volunteer fundraisers and we will be giving them access to NXT. We would like them to only be able to view the records of the constituents who are assigned to them. I would like to be able to disable the "search for a constituent" box at the top. This could be an option when you edit the Fundraising Rights.

I agree with Karen, Becky and Sheryl that it would be far easier to just have a binary Search-on or Search-off for volunteer fundraisers. I went to the trouble of setting up Constituent Codes for each fundraiser, but, besides being very time-consuming and cumbersome, that is a misuse of Constituent Codes. Constituent Codes are supposed to be about the constituent's relationship to our Organization, NOT about the constituent's assignment to a solicitor or the privacy/security of the constituent's record.

I would really like to see Security by Fundraiser (Solicitor). One reason we purchased NXT was to be able to roll it out to our volunteer solicitors. But we can't do that if they have access to everyone's records and personal information. Please make this update by either being able to disable the search field or add Security of Solicitor. Working security through consistent codes is not an effective or efficient way to manage this.

We do use security rights to limit access to only certain records, but that is cumbersome to do for 40 fundraisers. They each have to have their own set of security rights and the only way to do this is by allowing them to access only certain constituent codes. This means that the prospects for a certain fundraiser each have to have a specific constituent code. I don't think that constituent codes should have to be used in this way. It would be much easier to either have a way to say that fundraisers can only access the records of those who are assigned to them or an easy way to just disable the search box. If the search box is disabled they would be able to see their prospects in their work center and go to those records through the hyperlink to the record. We are not going to let our volunteer fundraisers have access to any other records.

If you are restricting access using Security (accessed via RE:7 under Admin), then I don't believe your volunteer users will be able to search for a record that is not permitted.
What I would like to see to make this work the way you need it to (if I'm understanding this correctly) is an option for Security by Solicitor Assignment.
