Addresses Mandatory in Optimized Forms

I know in the optimized forms you can make the address show up, but it's not a requirement to fill out. This isn't helpful when trying to maintain a clean and thorough database. Can we have the option to include it and make it mandatory please? The new form looks great but we're using the old one until we can have this fixed!

I mentioned this in a related post, but feel it bears repeating:

The address field needs to be a required field for BBMS Forms/Online Giving!!! First of all, when the address field is not required, "Automatic Constituent Matching" is less efficient, resulting in the likelihood of creating duplicate records. There is now less criteria to match on. Secondly, not having a donor's address negatively affects fundraising strategies and data analysis (mailings, personal notes, geographic segmentation and reporting.) It's just nice to know where your donors reside. Lastly, since when does a website not require an address for an online transaction.

For Canadian customers the address fields are not option as per CRA regulations as we need it for receipting. That said, the language at the top of the address page makes it seem like it is option for Canadian users. Can you give us a way to change/update/remove 'Will you complete your profile for us' at the top of this address page? Until that is fixed, it is another reason why optimized forms are inefficient for Canadian customers.

I'm opening this up for voting, but wanted to note that this is specifically by design - this form is designed for optimal donor conversion and requiring address is a proven sticking point for some donors.

We are finding that about 75% of donors do still choose to give the address, even though its optional.

We have some A/B tests planned for next year that may move the position of the address around within the form experience, and that may lead us at some point to allow you to make it required.

Thanks for your feedback and idea!
