When organising a company-wide event and extending invitations to various individuals from different teams, each with their own constituent codes, it becomes a significant challenge for the event coordinator to discern the team affiliation of each guest. For instance, it's often unclear whether a guest is a major donor, a corporate partner, a community fundraiser, or T&F guest. Implementing a column for filtering constituent codes would greatly simplify the event management process.
I usually put list segmentation into the Participant Type (Participation) field which is one of the available columns in Participant Lists. It's also visible in both database and web view.
Another option is to add a Participant Attribute (database view and visible both places) or Participant Option (web view and only visible in web view). Participant Attributes are not available fields for web view list but Participants Options are.
