Add Fund Type to NXT Analyze (all Analyze views)

We are implementing RE.  Since we participate in the VSE report, we will use Fund Category for the VSE/CFAE codes. We also base reporting on our units (colleges/departments) and need to be able to analyze all giving from this perspective - using the Fund Type to code the unit.

This is marked as "Planned". Can you provide an update on when we'll see this pushed out to subscribers?

Will the fund attributes also be available?  We use those heavily to filter out which funds are related to colleges/departments/athletics, etc

There doesn't seem to be a "Top X" type of option in the report builder, and the Overview report has a really nice Donors by Lifecycle Status that I can't figure out how to replicate exactly. (I'd love to see it based on donations to a fund type.) I also really like the side-by-side Gifts + Revenue donuts on the overview but I can only create individual donuts in the Insight Builder, each with its own legend (which should be unnecessary). And, actually, I can't even get a donut that lets me switch between Gifts, Received and Gifts, Committed - or Gifts, All - so I would need 3+ donuts in separate blocks where the Analyze has 2 in a single block.

It's nice, on an aesthetic level, that the Analyze Reports include headers/labels at the horizontal dividers, especially the Overview page, and the layout of metrics snapshots ("Gifts" on Overview, "Actions overview" on Actions). I can make the dashboard look pretty okay, but the design options are somewhat limited and don't really work that well for highlighting or grouping certain visuals.

Also, the Analyze Reports allow me to download the PNG files/CSV data for the graphs to insert into my powerpoint presentations, in addition to being able to schedule the email or save setting configurations.

Keri, thanks for the feedback. We definitely want to provide more capabilities to get to the data you need. We are hoping that Dashboard Builder will do that for you sooner than later. Can you let me your favorite panels in the "Analyze" dashboards that you can't replicate in Dashboard builder?

Hi Blake - we have Dashboard Builder and it's great, but I can't quite replicate the Analyze reports that have already existed - and they are really useful, except that we desperately need a Fund Type filter. Or maybe a Dashboard Builder version of Analyze that lets us drop in a Fund Type fitler on top? :)

The Fund Type field is available in our Dashboard Builder experience, which is currently rolling out to our customers. We are getting close to General Availability (GA). I just wanted to let those on this idea that are interested know.

We'll keep this idea as planned till Dashboard Builder is GA.

I really need this idea to be built into a feature. I need to know what new money has been received and designated for scholarships on a regular basis. As it stands right now, we have to cross check donations with excel lists of established scholarship funds to get an idea of what new scholarship money has come in.

We are a large healthcare system that has multiple hospitals and an exponential number of funds. In order to filter by one hospital's funds, we use Fund Type. It seems like NXT is BEGGING for this filter to be added to both Lists and Analyze.

We are restructuring our fund categories and types for better reporting, using the fund types for 4 main types - capital, operations, endowment, and deferred.

We also have multiple funds that are reported internally as a single number, and we use Fund Type to track these.
