Having the address accelerator on NXT web version Merged

When inputting into the web version users are typing incorrect addresses and not matched properly with post town in uppercase or the DPS populated. We pay for the service but half the staff are using web view NXT

    We will need this tool on RENXT. We constantly use it on database view, and have been using the Bulk Address Accelerator as well.

    I use this tool multiple times a year to standardize all new addresses. This is also a great verification tool to ensure that information provided is accurate and addressable.

    This is so important. The additional information that is available (county, etc) in database view is also really helpful, but not available in webview.

    {"children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"text":"We are a regional university very focused on serving the counties around us. We need county for not only alumni events but also to help identify alumni who can help with new student recruitment in their county. This is a major barrier for us moving to unified view."}]}]}

    We pay for Address Accelerator, which updates addresses to USPS abbreviation standards, when new addresses are created in web view (unified view) it is pulling from some source that is not pulling in the USPS abbreviation. For example, the USPS abbreviation for Trail is Trl, yet whatever web view (unified view) is pulling from it is just giving Trail.

    Why is having our addresses set to the USPS abbreviation standards important? Well, as the saying goes: garbage in, garbage out. Having them set to USPS stand helps with deliverability when the USPS machines scan the address for sorting. It also greatly helps when we are merging outside mailing lists together. When the standards are in place, this process goes smoothly. When the standards are not in place, time and energy are then needed to correct the data, not just in the listing, but also back at the source of the garbage data - RENXT.

    Not having this in unified view is a barrier to us adopting it instead of database view. In order to do geographical segments in our email platform, we must have county filled in, which means we need address accelerator to help get that data filled in. It is also necessary to notify the data entry staff that the address they are entering is possibly missing critical information or that they have made a typo and need to review and make corrections.

    Agree with Carlene's comment totally. Deliverability. Also, because it adds county - and side note - we need the informational fields - source, county, region.

    Further making the case for this: Address Accelerator is the only way to identify deliverable addresses. It is also the only way to add County which is critical to many organizations. We're paying for Address Accelerator but can only use in DBV. The address search feature used in webview when adding an address does not address deliverability which means organizations are adding addresses they think are accurate but in reality are frequently missing secondary address (Apt. #) and therefore are wasting money on mailings. BB should either make Address Accelerator available in webview OR should switch their address searching feature to something like SMARTY.COM so that when adding an address users can see if it is a deliverable address.
