This is a relief! After reading more comments below, I want to add. All of the above and below have been said and agreed upon especially as it relates to customization and "missing" gifts. There are some positives. I was able to fold the annual statement without any additional maneuvering to make sure it appeared in the window of the envelope that says, "Tax Return Document Enclosed". This is an official tax document to our organization. Some donors ONLY want an annual statement and are coded as such. This past year we were forced to use the annual statement function after our regular print company of 10+ years had a planned equipment upgrade and shut down during the time we normally process this. They informed us 2 weeks before I was to submit. There are a lot of particulars involved with this so another printing company (especially in a small city) would have needed more time. I was at least able to use a printing company that folded the 4000 annual statements automatically. In an unexpected crunch, this was very welcoming. Fortunately for us, we have a very colorful insert of "a year in photos" with a soft ask that we put in with them. Unfortunately, the manual process of it all (i.e. pulling 2-page annual statements, stuffing the statements in envelopes with the inserts, etc.) took an enormous amount of time. Finally, we were one of those who received calls as well to "redo" statements because the GIK and stocks were not on there and had to shorten our "tax disclaimer" statement because there was not enough space. The possibility of sending these annual statements via email is still a viable option but not the final option due to the average age of our donors. Finding a solution for this situation (per the CFO) was cost more cost effective. I have included feedback on customization so that we can print them out ourselves this year. Regardless, I will be starting early for quotes in October for the outside printing of these. Again, thanks for making this a reality.

It's about time that mail functionality is available in webview. What does every single one of your nonprofit customers do? Receive gifts and acknowledge / receipt them. This is the single functionality that is common across all of your Raiser's Edge customers.

I understand why the integration with Microsoft needed to be removed, but waiting this long for an adequate replacement is a poor choice. The rollout has been haphazard and it should not have taken nearly 5 years. I can only hope that it meets customer needs at the beginning - without an additional cost - and is not something that needs multiple iterations.

A complete reworking of the web view mail functionality is in the works. We are bringing the Mail module forward from database view and with this will come the return or Word merge to assist with allowing full customization.

Yes! We generate loads of income by including a giving option with our receipts. We need the ability to edit the entire document. You mention in the knowledgebase that it's not editable to maintain compliance. Let us worry about compliance. We are audited yearly.

This seems like a given - I cannot even get the PDF receipt to be one page - what a pain for the donor and those who still print - a lot of donors are of the generation where even though they get an e-receipt they still print. Not to mention it is so ugly. We need to edit font and size at the very least.

It would be helpful if we could insert/upload our own templates and add in selected fields/table entries. We are doing so much of our work manually that the database should be able to do for us by now. These were features that we had in database view that were taken away when we changed over to NXT due to the lack of integration capabilities with Microsoft products. Please Help!

Please make this a priority. Critical piece for donor centric communications.

This would be a fantastic addition to the giving statements.

This is the main reason orgs I've worked with don't use them. If they can customize the look and feel and add a message to it to make it look more donor friendly, it would save everyone a ton of time by being able to pull it straight out of RE.

Providing the ability to customize and brand for giving statements and receipts should not have to be voted on. This should be a given baseline need for all organizations in today's environment.

I ditto the comments on this being a tool that is needed and in this time of technology, surprising that it does not exist yet. Adding my vote!
