I planned to us the gift statement feature in NXT to send a statement to our recurring gift donors, but was confused (until I contacted support) by what was included in "Contribution Amout" vs. "Giving Amount." And, since I can't add a explanation to the statement before it's mailed, I've decided it's not worth sending a statement which could confuse our donors. If Giving Amount includes those items that are not tax-deductible (ie. benefits), then Contribution Amount should be called "Tax-Deductible Amount." That would be much clearer.
I would also like to be able to add a custom note to the statement, like you can if you choose the pdf printed version. It would be nice to add a "thank you" to the statement.
It would be so helpful to be able to edit criteria and wording to the statement. We are still in our first year of using RENXT, so we're still building our business practices within the program. We'd like to be able to incorporate wording and criteria that our donors are used to seeing and recognize.
100% agree that we need to be able to add a "thank you" to the giving statement.
