When we switched to Blackbaud, we failed to look into whether or not the system included a portal that allowed a donor to have and manage their own donor account. This is standard in other giving platforms, and we were, quite frankly, shocked that Blackbaud doesn't have this capability. It would be ideal for donors to have the ability to update their own info for recurring gifts (especially since they aren't automatically notified when their payment fails), and to be able to access past donations, etc. Platforms like Classy and Give Lively are able to offer this; I feel that Blackbaud should be able to modernize the platform in this manner as well.
If they could also access their own Tax forms too, that would be incredible. I agree this is definitely a need.
