Another reason I need to be able to delete gifts in NXT is that for some unknown reason I was not able to approve the batch in NXT. We are using BBMS and the batch that was automatically created when gifts came in through online transactions came up with an error saying that it could not be approved. Nobody in my organization can approve it and the solution is to wait for someone at blackbaud to look at my case and somehow reset the batch so that I can then have the ability to approve it. I do not have time to wait for blackbaud to reset things so that I can approve a batch. Gift acknowledgements need to be sent within 48 hours of receiving a gift. Because you did not and have not responded to correct the issue - I am still not able to approve the batch and it has been well over 48 hours since the gifts came in - I entered those same gifts manually in database view. I committed the batch and acknowledged the gifts. Now, I have an unapproved batch sitting in NXT that cannot be deleted or approved because the issue is still not fixed. We need the ability to delete gifts, even if they are created automatically. As someone else here said, mistakes do happen and we need the ability to fix them. It would save a lot of time and energy to have the ability to do this.

This is so dumb that one can't delete a gift in NXT. Makes it challenging or a nonstarter to test things

We need the ability to delete all gift types, including recurring gifts and recurring gift pay-cash. I have several gifts with type "recurring gift pay-cash" that were added through NXT and linked to the wrong recurring gift. I have no way to fix this error since the recurring gift (created through database view) cannot be deleted since the recurring gift pay-cash gifts are linked to it, and those cannot be deleted since they were created through NXT. Even if this were some sort of utility for admins only, it would be great/essential for cleanliness of data.

I am able to delete a gift in NXT that I created in NXT as of 4-18-25 - maybe this has been fixed?

Agree with all the comments below. This is an absolutely essential feature. The lack of core features such as this makes it difficult to transition fully to web view. If I can't delete gifts entered in web view, then I have to enter gifts through database view.

Why can we only delete gifts through a static list in global updates in NXT? Just give us the ability to delete!!!!!!!!!

It is absurd that this is not available. I recognize that some organizations may be too aggressive about deleting gifts and not following good audit practices - and I have no idea if that was the intent behind removing this functionality - but it is removing it completely is not acceptable. RE is complicated to learn, and mistakes happen.

Critical function needed, no reason for this to exist in database view and not NXT. It's part of gift processing.

Why is this still open? It's a no brainer Blackbaud. Listen to your users - we want to be able to delete gifts.

We are planning to change from processing gifts in Online Express, to NXT, but this issue is stopping us from doing so. Needs to be changed/fixed ASAP.

The school I work for absolutely needs to be able to delete test transactions. Adjusting gifts to $0 dollars will not work soon with our biggest event coming up we need more control over gift transactions.

Due to human error the ability to delete a gift in RE NXT is necessary. Please allow the option to delete a gift. Work arounds for deleting a gift presented during BB University training do not work.

This is a basic function that needs to be added asap. At a minimum we should be able to delete with supervisor rights. As others have said, adjusting gifts to $0 is not a great solution and other workarounds have stopped working.

None of the previous workarounds are working for this issue. Please fix this. This shouldn't have to be an idea for improvement, as it is a functional issue.

I am having the same issue. Huge flaw to the system.

Until recently I could zero out gifts to be deleted, run a query for $0 gifts then globally delete those gifts. This has only just stopped working (maybe start of Nov 24). Help!! Human error happens! Please reinstate the gift delete for Supervisors.

I cannot be the only user that has mistakenly added a donation twice. I should be able to delete the mistake without having to call for help and without having to amend the donation to $0.00 because it can't be deleted.

I cannot understand why we are unable to delete gifts. We are trying to transition to RE NXT away from database view, because Blackbaud are encouraging us to do this, and yet this is a significant problem. Blackbaud, if you're listening, please fix this now!

This does seem like a no-brainer that should be fixed. I don't understand why this would be set up like this intentionally.
