Right now the reports on the analysis page do not include stock gifts. Until I have the ability to add them in I won't be giving access to the reports to my director and others in my department. I don't want to show them to them unless they are accurate. Also, we are sometimes looking at totals with pledges and sometimes we are only looking at cash received. I need to be able to manipulate these reports for different situations.
Admins can now go into Control Panel, Settings and then configure the gift types they would like to be included in Committed and Received Revenue. The changes will take place the next time analyze refreshes, which typically is every 4 hours during the business day. Users should only have to change the filter for Revenue type on the various pages to include the gift types you have defined.
Unfortunately this is not an accurate statement. I'm currently trying to configure it. I don't have the option to remove or add ALL categories. This is not your place to tell organization HOW to track their revenue and does or does not count. The IRS allows you to track Cash and Pledges as organizational revenue - Pledge payments only serve only to reduce the receivable and are not counted as new revenue for the year. You once again have not allowed us to choose. You keep telling us your solving the problem and your not. Until we get to choose 100% of the gift fields you have not solved the problem. If BB is not going to solve the problem we need to know honestly and immediately and your can be honest with our leadership team about the defects in the product.
I'd like the ability to have the matching gift payment included in committed revenue. We don't count the matching gift pledges as revenue since we would end up having to write-off a lot of pledges.
YES!!!!! Please please please fix this!! The way you guys have gifts grouped by committed and received is not how we track gifts (or how anyone tracks gifts I would imagine). I was all excited about these reports until I realized we can't get the right numbers, which makes these reports USELESS!! Now I have to go create something manual in database view which is completely defeating the point of these reports.

I also think that it would be great to roll this out sooner than later since many users are not finding the Sky Reporting dashboards (Analyze/Non Profit Intelligence) usable. BBCon 2015 was when this was previewed and I am still surprised that this is not built in yet. I know that this was mentioned on the roadmap webinar a couple of weeks ago.
Would be more than happy to be a part of any discovery on this.
Yes! This. Throughout the system. On the constituent records Lifetime Giving, in the dashboards, and especially in those beautiful analyze reports. It's almost entirely useless to us when we have no control over what gift types to include.
This was very disappointing to discover. It's essential that we be able to look at new gifts and pledges rather than cash and pledge payments.
Development team performance is not always only judged by cash received - that's more of an accounting department's gig. We need the ability to show production as a performance measure in the Analyze section charts - so, being able to include recurring gifts, soft credits, and pledges is essential to my organization's leadership and their adoption/utilization of Analyze in NXT.
Yes, try explaining to your director that the reports for the new expensive database they bought don't show all of the revenue - but that's OK! I'm not going there.+
Completely agree! For me, there is no sense in having an executive view our progress toward a goal if it doesn't include pledged gifts. Right now in Analyze, I know that we have raised over $1M toward a campaign goal and it is only showing received revenue of $750K. My CEO would have a panic attack if he didn't know that pledges weren't included in that number.
So many times this! I totally agree. I've commented on a few other posts that mention this. Come on NXT product development team. This is essential. And makes this tool essentially useless.
