Add more open text fields/custom fields on NXT donation form

We would like the ability to add more fields to the NXT donation form - for instance, we would like the option for "other" under funds with the option to pull from any active funds of a specific type in RE if someone starts typing a fund name. Also, it would be helpful for us to get additional fields like maiden name, etc.

Based on the main part of the description, I am going to merge this with other ideas that are asking for the "other" fund".
I did want to note for some of the folks adding comments, that the NXT Standard donation form does support the addition of gift and constituent attributes/custom fields to the form. You can add these by dragging in the "custom field" widget in your form builder and choosing your attribute/custom field.
Has there been any progress on this? Without configurable custom attributes, NXT forms can never meet my organizations needs.
RENXT donation forms are far inferior to Online Express due to this omission alone. Bring this functionality over.

Anyone know if there have been any updates to this? Comments? Rejections? We're just looking to add gift attribute fields that can be prefilled based on the URL.

Yes, please add it. It's incredibly disappointing and frankly embarrassing that this isn't already an option.
Yes, if there was an open text field the donor could write a note. We often learn about their motivation for making the gift in this note field.
I would also like to see "other" as on option on NXT donation forms however I would prefer a text free field that they can enter their fund and we match it up in batch. We simply have too many possible funds for a dropdown.
