When we configured Revenue for RENXT for our organization we made our selections based on how revenue would display on a constituent record :
money received (one time gifts plus payments) + outstanding pledge (commitment balance) + soft credits) = Overall Giving
This configuration is fine and meets our business need for viewing one donor's giving history.
On a dashboard/reporting view we want to be able to configure/report the revenue differently. We count one time gifts and new pledges in our organization against our fundraising goal. We want a dashboard insight that would be able to display this. Since launching RENXT two and half months ago we have gotten a lot of questions about the difference on the Overivew Report vs the reports we distribute do our team.
This is an urgent update critical to our work flow. Our org counts gifts and pledges, not pledge payments or cash in the door, and hinders are ability to show progress to goals to VP's, the board, and the development team. It would be great if we could select more options in the database view on how to count different types of gifts.
