The seat assignment is an available column when viewing participants from an event in NXT - but the "Group" selection is going to be necessary for this function to really work for organizations. I'm not seeing the 'grouping' appear anywhere within the registrant information, nor as an available column when working with participants.
I need to be able to add seating group and group/seating notes within events in NXT. One use case we use these fields to track student recipients and their donors for our scholarship dinner. We put the student scholarships in group/seating notes so we know who their scholarship benefactors are. And then use the seating group once the benefactor RSVP's to make sure the students and donors are sat together.
Being able to look at a participant and see ALL events relative to that grouping right on any of their participant records in the group, and make any needed changes by clicking through the events relative to that group quickly is of great value and extreme need! In other words, Homecoming may have 20 additional subevents along with the main registration event. Whether I am on their participant record in the main event or any of the sub events, I can see ALL of their events associated with Homecoming in db view, and make any needed changes on the fly to each participant record by clicking through all events right on that one participant record. NXT forces us to go to their constituent record and find each event in the group one by one and then find them as a participant in that event and fix it. Incredibly longer process doing it without this capability in NXT.
We are a large healthcare system, so we "group" our events not only by category (Fundraising, Cultivation, Stewardship, Social), but also by hospital which is how we use the Group field. Not having this field in web-view means that searching/reporting capabilities are hugely diminished.
Please add. For some events this is the most important thing we need to see.

Yes, please add group. This is a must for higher eds with sub events during an event weekend like Homecoming.
