Currently, there is no way to set up an automated email workflow in Raiser's Edge. The closest functionality is to create and manually schedule each email in the email series in advance. An automated email workflow would allow you to set up a welcome or onboarding email series in advance - very useful for new donors - and simply add donors to the workflow. Especially when you are dealing with different streams of new donors (e.g. from different channels or different fundraising campaigns) with custom email onboarding for each stream, an automated workflow functionality would save a great deal of manual time and effort.

Hi everyone. We just shipped a new functionality in RENXT that would allow you to send a series of Emails with Workflow Designer. This means you can create a workflow for new donors, and send them a series of "welcome" emails, per the request above.
This feature is generally available for all RENXT clients, so you should all have access to it right now. Just go to Tools>Workflow Designer. You will create your Emails under Email Marketing, and then just add those emails to a workflow.

Hi! We are very close to releasing Email Automation via Workflow Designer in NXT. We have already started releasing it to clients in waves, we are just waiting on the final approval to go GA, so keep an eye out for an update on this!
