We find it essential to reach out to up to three emails per constituent record (E-mail, Spouse E-mail, Assistant Email). Many couples prefer to receive their emails individually and we don't want someone to miss out on our message. I would love to see the functionality increase in NXT to match what we are already able to do in OLX. NXT is far more stable and easy to use, but without the capability to reach more than one email, we can't start using it.
Without this feature, we'll be forced to use other email programs and not NXT Marketing. It's vital that Blackbaud addresses this situation.
I have multiple folks each month sign up for a newsletter that have existing records already on the same list just to have it sent to their personal and work emails. To send communications to both we cant merge their records. Same goes for events where someone received an invitation with one email address and then confirms their registration with a completely different address creating a secondary duplicate account.
The lack of this feature is destroying our data health. The ability to receipt reliability to the preferred email address is affected when folks opt out of marketing, volunteer, or event reminder emails, ruining the one "preferred" email for all other purposes. I can't merge duplicates created during event registrations until all event email needs are completed. The need to change spouses and organization contacts to full constituents just for email subscriptions that might be temporary is constantly confusing fundraisers.
YES- very important!!
We would much prefer to use NXT marketing emails- but cannot do this until the option to mail to spouses and organizational relationships is an option! Looking forward to this future update.
When will you implement this?
Hi. Product Management is in the process of cleaning up the Ideas Portal. We have narrowed our scope for "Planned" features to apply only to features that we are confident will ship in the near future (typically 6-8 weeks). As a result, this feature will move back to a “voting open” status for now. We know this feature is important to you and we value your opinion and encourage you to continue voting. That helps us determine the priority for this feature request compared to others. Thank you for your patience!
Yes! Our database uses households to organize constituents. In RE Online Express you could build a query to use as an email list and select the option to include the Head of Household and the spouse record, too! This needs to be a function in NXT email, as well!
I've been searching around looking for this exact topic and I'm glad it's in at least the planning stage. Any ideas on a timetable for implementation?
Yes, spouse email is essential.
We need to be able to include spouse emails!
YES!
I'm glad to see this is planned. Can someone from Blackbaud please confirm whether the plans include the ability to include Primary Contact on Org records? Because I wasn't sure if that was the case, I created a separate idea today. Thanks!
Does the planned function include the mapping flexibility that exists in OLX?
We use multiple emails and always used email mapping in the RE version. It is vital for us to have this as well in the RENXT version so we can reach more than one email. Without this capability it we are unable to use it!!
Potentially an excellent product but we will not be using it until there is email mapping available and we can send it to multiple emails. Currently useless to us. Rather a waste of time and resources.

I already voted on this once, but if I could, I would vote on it again! This is a vital piece of being able to do email marketing!
It would also be great if it could get emails from both Primary and Spouse. We often send emails to both. We also need to be able to choose a salutation to use. If an email is specific to one individual the salutation for the email is specific to that person while a mail salutation might be to both primary and spouse.
