In database view, if you run a Gift Detail and Summary report and filter on Campaigns, Appeals, or Funds the Gift Detail and Summary report automatically calculates the correct split amount based on the filters used. In NXT Analyze, if you filter based on Campaign, Appeal, or Fund and click Revenue to generate a gift list, that gift list will contain the full Gift Amount as opposed to only the split portion appropriate to your filter. I propose that if a user filters on Campaigns or Funds or Appeals, the gift list generated from that review should report the correct split amount, not the full gift amount.
Not only is the gift list useless without being able to see the correct fund split amounts but I am also using this list to create a web component to show our fundraising total stats for a campaign. Because the list only pulls the full amount instead of the split amount it is inaccurately counting several split gifts twice in 2 different web component metrics. I even started my NXT list with a static gift query in database view that only pulls the split amount but the NXT list still shows the total and not split amounts for those gifts. I shouldn't have to enter 2 separate gifts every time we get a split gift just so the NXT gift list and web component works.
Gift Lists are useless without being able to see the correct fund split amount. I just ran a list today of all gifts received to our Oncology Fund last year (for a grant application), and many of the amounts were false. So I was unable to accurately sort by gift amount to report our top donors to the fund on the grant application. I had to go into database view to get the correct information.
Having the correct split amount would make it much easier for reporting. NXT is supposed to be useful for Board Members, EDs, etc., but they are not going to know to watch out for split gifts!
The fact that a dashboard view can correctly identify the split amount, but the drill down to gift-level detail in a list cannot creates erroneous results. Our executive team uses this for specific funds and this problematic for us ... very confusing at the very least.
Please add split amount to list reporting options, and intelligent functionality to use this amount when a gift is split.
Please change the split gift functionality so the gift can be viewed and identified with amounts to two or more separate funds, campaigns, etc.
Gift Lists in NXT produce inaccurate gift amounts because it does not consider the split gift amount as linked to the fund specified in the filter. The entire gift amount and each of the split fund descriptions should not appear in the list. This produces inaccurate information that can easily be distributed to internal and external parties. This is basic functionality that should be addressed immediately. Thank you kindly.
Gift Lists in NXT are completely useless to our org if we can't output split amount
Agreed! This is one of the biggest thorns in using RE data or internal RE NXT Reporting/Lists/Insights. We are still looking for a "Mouse" to solve (remove thorn)! We have found ways to help via MS Access exports vs Excel files, but it is still so much more work than getting the data out via Dagwood stacked sandwich style for Excel pivots versus a horizontal accordion (with data in additional variable # of columns) OR ideally displayed within the software as needed for self-serve types or reporting. Sometimes folks use these too and they don't realize that the RE reports are incorrect. Hoping with the RE NXT push and enhancements that Blackbaud resolves this.
The inability to report default gift lists using a split amout option is a huge issue for us! We regularly report financial results to our board and committees at Fund / Appeal levels. We have significant donations that are split across these categories. Reporting is confused when going to detail lists when split amount is not available as a default list option, requiring manual effort to adjust.
this is a huge issue especially with the introduction of the "Goal Meter". By not having that available any split gift recorded in the system will be reported incorrectly on the "Goal Meter" I.E. at the total gift amount and not at the specific designated fund.
As with most things Blackbaud, this has been requested since 2105 and here in 2018 - no updates. Still a major issue.
Commenting to confirm this is still a huge issue. Please sort this Blackbaud or the reporting tool is no use for reporting on any sort of gift measures and everyone finds it thoroughly confusing and misleading.
commenting to confirm that this is STILL an importing bug fix request
Typical Blackbaud - 4 years later and not done.
This issue has definitely been a thorn in my side. This is an absolute necessity to have reports reflect accurately.
I can't tell you how much pain and agony this had caused.
This should be fixed ASAP - a reporting feature cannot be used if totals do not reflect the proper amount
Ditto! What is the point of having a split gift feature if it is not accurately reflected in reports? I can't believe that I have to go back and manually make adjustments just to have the correct numbers. Reporting is useless if I can't count on the the numbers being accurate. PLEASE fix this!

This is a needed fix. Looks like this request has been kicking around for a few years as it is in a couple of threads. It's time to address it.
